The Story

My, a little girl from the Hmong ethnic group, was delighted to play with indigo dye like her mother and grandmother. The vibrant blue comes from fermented indigo leaves. These textile techniques go back centuries and are an essential part of the Hmong culture that are passed down from generation to generation.
