Vietnam, Hoi An 2021

The Story

A woman tends to her kumquat trees in preparation for Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Kumquats represent fertility and hope for a successful new year and are an important part of the New Year celebrations. Here, this woman in her conical hat seem to float in a galaxy of these beautiful deep orange globes. On the first day of the new year, the kumquats will shine out like golden coins, bringing light and wealth to the home.
